Alexander Parpas, MD
Alexander Parpas, MD is an interventional nephrologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease with a focus on minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that improve vascular access and support optimal dialysis care. Dr. Parpas is committed to delivering patient-centered care by combining advanced procedural expertise with comprehensive kidney disease management.
Dr. Parpas earned his medical degree from Ross University Medical School and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Brookdale University Hospital. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Nephrology at Rutgers University, followed by advanced training in Interventional Nephrology at SUNY Downstate, where he developed expertise in dialysis access management, endovascular procedures, and the treatment of complex vascular access disorders.

Dr. Parpas serves as Medical Director at Advanced Surgery Center, where he provides comprehensive nephrology care and performs a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, including dialysis access evaluation and maintenance, angioplasty, thrombectomy, tunneled dialysis catheter placement, peritoneal dialysis catheter placement, endovascular fistula creation, and kidney biopsy. His clinical approach emphasizes improving access function, reducing hospitalizations, and enhancing quality of life for patients living with end-stage kidney disease.
